July marked a significant milestone for Solent Streetworks as we celebrated nine years since the company was officially incorporated.
What began as a one-person consultancy with a simple aim – providing reliable, knowledgeable Street Works support – has grown into a trusted consultancy supporting clients across the UK. While the business has evolved over the years, one thing has remained constant: building strong relationships and delivering practical, dependable solutions.

Over the past nine years, we’ve been proud to help clients successfully deliver infrastructure projects through expert Street Works consultancy.
From Section 171 licences and road space bookings to traffic management, highway permits and utility coordination, our team works closely with contractors, utility companies and local authorities to keep projects moving safely, efficiently and compliantly.

Supporting Our Community
This summer has been particularly special, not only because of our ninth business anniversary, but also because Solent Streetworks was once again proud to sponsor the Blacksmiths & Farriers Section at the New Forest & Hampshire County Show, held from 28th–30th July 2026.
The Show is one of the South’s largest agricultural events, attracting thousands of visitors each year to enjoy livestock competitions, equestrian displays, countryside traditions, local food and drink, rural crafts and family entertainment.
For our Managing Director, the Show is much more than an annual event. Having grown up around the agricultural show scene, he has been stewarding for more than 20 years and, for the past four to five years, has served as Head of the Blacksmiths & Farriers Section, proudly continuing a family tradition after taking over from his father, who successfully led the section for more than 30 years.
While visitors experience three fantastic days of competition and demonstrations, the preparation starts well over a year in advance. Planning meetings, coordination with competitors, judges and exhibitors, alongside countless phone calls and logistical planning, all come together during an incredibly busy show week. One of the highlights is presenting the awards ceremony on the final day – a role that, despite requiring public speaking, has become an increasingly rewarding part of the event each year.
